Catherine "Marie" Garland

Catherine Marie Garland, 92, born in Paducah, KY passed away Wednesday July 12, 2023, in Jacksonville Florida. She is preceded in her death by her husband Reverend James T Garland: father, Charles Arbert Tibbs: mother, LouEllen (Shaffer) Tibbs: and one brother, Charles Tibbs.

Marie and James lived in Paducah, Carsville, Possum Trot, Columbus, Marion, and Hazel, Kentucky, where Reverend Garland pastored several churches before moving to Jacksonville, Florida to be with their daughter Faye Garland Kofler.

Mrs. Garland is survived by one daughter, Faye Garland Kofler (Bruce): two grandsons Tommy Kofler (Crystal) of North Carolina and Chaz Kofler (Kristin) of Florida: three great-grandsons, Adam, Nate, and Owen Kofler of Florida and great-granddaughter, Reicse Owen of North Carolina.

A visitation for Catherine will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 State Rd 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
