Catherine Elizabeth Case: On March 12, 2011, God picked His most beautiful flower from earth and planted her in the lush fields of Heaven everlasting. Catherine Case, 22, of Jacksonville went home to be with her Lord and Savior this past Saturday night at 11:40 PM. She was born October 8, 1988. Catherine was a 2007 graduate of Mandarin High School and was a junior on the Dean’s List at the University of North Florida majoring in Biology. Catherine worked at Costco while maintaining her University studies and spending quality time with family and friends.
Catherine was a brightly shining star of hope and confidence. Everyone that met Catherine was taken by her warm friendliness, beautiful smile, as well as her charm and wit. She had a special soft spot in her heart for little critters like lizards, frogs, and butterflies, and absolutely loved her kitty cats. She enjoyed bike riding, camping, hiking, snow skiing, and scuba diving.
Catherine was a true “daddy’s girl” in every sense of the word, having him wrapped tightly around her little finger – right where he wanted to be. Both her parents, and everyone who ever experienced them, will forever miss her tight hugs, her “I love you’s", and all her little nuances that made her uniquely Catherine.
Catherine is survived by her parents Terry and Dee Dee Case of Jacksonville, FL, and her siblings, Terry Case of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Case of Jacksonville, FL and Lauren Case of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by her grandfather James E Case, Sr. of Huntington, WV and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas and Rosalie Green, her grandmother Anne Case, and her loving Aunt Patricia Taylor, all of South Charleston, WV.
Catherine was stolen abruptly from our lives and her absence will leave a hole in our hearts that only the Lord and the sands of time can heal. The family requests that donations may be made in Catherine’s name to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, www.madd.org, Northeast Florida Location, 1721 Blanding Blvd, Suite 101, Jacksonville, FL 32210 (904) 388-2455, or The Jacksonville Humane Society, www.jaxhumane.org 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216 (904) 725-8766. She was registered as an organ donor, and would encourage all to do the same. Catherine’s beautiful hair will be donated to Locks of Love.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin., 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223 (904) 288-0025.

With Pastor Randy Hale and Reverend Curran Spottswood officiating. Followed by interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
