New Year’s Day in 1943 was a special day! Her Jewish parents, Norma and Edward Weinreb, welcomed their only child, Carolyn Dale Weinreb into their family. Carolyn was born and raised in White Plains, New York. Carolyn graduated from high school there and then attended Louisiana University.
Carolyn met Tim Temple, her husband of 48 years, in New Orleans, Louisiana at a church. Carolyn embraced Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during their time in New Orleans. Carolyn and Tim moved to Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Carolyn worked in journalism. She was an editor and authored a column for the Beaches Leader newspaper and other organizations in the Jacksonville area.
Carolyn was a faithful member of The Church of Eleven 22 since it opened on September 23, 2012 and was attending the Arlington campus. Carolyn was instrumental in pioneering the Care Team and served in that care and prayer ministry until she entered her Eternal Glory!
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Timothy Richardsson Temple of Jacksonville, Florida; her only child, Peter Dilworth from Somerville, Massachusetts; her nephew, John Patrick Chapman and his wife, Allison from Cameron Park, California; and her niece, Lori Ann Rinker and her husband, Andy of Santa Rosa, California.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills, 850 St. John’s Bluff Road, Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
