Carmelita was born in Belize City, Belize on August 6, 1916. She was married to Manuel Maldonado, Sr. who is predeceased.
Carmelita is survived by 3 children; Jorge Maldonado (Maria); Manuel Maldonado, Jr. (Jan); Carmita Maldonado; grandchildren – Celi, Jorge, Carlos, Solangel, Sergio, Angie, Crystal and Carmencita; great-grandchildren – Anna, Jessica, Nicolas, Allison, Mark, Matthew, Joseph, Eva, Gabby, Lilah, Oliver, Ryan; great-great grandchild Charlie. Carmelita is survived by her brother, Vincente Maestre and sister, Hilda Sabido.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery.
