Carlton Lanell Stephens

Carlton L. Stephens, age 48, was born on October 2, 1972 to Mr. and Mrs. Ervin W. Stephens. Carlton attended the Duval County Schools. He worked for the Soul Circus and other jobs as well. Carton loved spending time with family and he was a protector to many. He was a giving person to family and friends but he was only loving until he felt crossed; then . . . .(LOL). He was always REAL! Per P.O. P. “ Imma be me no matter what.” One of his proudest moments was when his grandkids were born.

Carlton was preceded in death by his father Ervin W. Stephens; grandkids Lyntoria Stephens and Cameron Brown.

He is survived by his wife Ericka S. Stephens; children Corlinda, Tabatha, D'Aryl, Carlton, Jamal, Carlteria, Akhareon, Ervin, and Roosevelt; grandkids Christian, Orabella, Honesti, George, De’Arrius, and Alvin; mother Pearlie Stephens (Bruce); sister Stephanie Beckford (Stafford); brothers Karl Moy, George Cooper and Stacy Smith; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Carlton will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 11:00 a.m. Greater New Birth Baptist Church, 195 Tallulah Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32208 with committal service to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
