Candace (Candy) M. Hudson, who was loved by many, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia she spent most of her life in Jacksonville, FL and was a member of the Baptist faith. She and her husband were members of the Florida Tackle & Gun Club on San Jose Blvd. in Jacksonville. Candy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mikel A. Hudson; one son, Mikel L. Hudson (Pansy) of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters Jennifer (Ricky) Howard and Carolyn Thornton, Both of Jacksonville; one brother, Larry Miller (Gretchen) of San Antonio, Texas; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, 4001 Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
