Bridget was born in Dublin, Ireland and emigrated from Cork City to NY in the mid 1950’s to take up work as an Au pare on Long Island, NY.
Bridget met Richard (Dick) Brady in 1958 at an Irish American club in Mineola, NY. They later married and moved to Syosset, NY. In 1972, they moved with their sons Rich and Tom back to Bridget’s birthplace, Blackrock, County Dublin.
Later in their adult life, the sons both moved to the United States and Bridget and Dick followed in 2004. Bridget lived in Tampa until Dick’s passing in 2012 and later moved to Jacksonville in 2014.
Bridget was a volunteer caregiver for various Bray, County Wicklow Catholic Church organizations while living in Ireland. Bridget passed peacefully in the early morning of 12 May, 2020.
Bridget is survived by her sons Richie (Annie), Tom (Bonnie) her brother Frederick (Valeria) McAnaspie living in England, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
