She is also survived by her grand dogs Kenley, Bodhi, Klancy, Ridley, Roxy, Sadie, and Tucker who meant the world to her.
Brenda was employed as an administrative assistant in the Neuroscience Research division at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. It was a career that she loved which afforded her the opportunity to build strong friendships with her co-workers and visiting doctors alike. She took great pride in knowing that she was part of such a prestigious organization that was working towards finding a cure for the disease which ultimately took her life as well as many other terrible diseases.
Brenda’s greatest passions were her family and animals. She selflessly donated her time and money to helping local animal rescue organizations find loving homes for homeless and abandoned animals. Brenda also spent her free time taking care of several stray cat colonies in the Avondale, Riverside, and San Marco areas of Jacksonville, ensuring they all received food, water, and medical services. She was a very compassionate person, who found joy and happiness in seeing love in the eyes of animals who may have never experienced it before she came into their lives. Private funeral services were held for immediate members of her family On Thursday, May 23rd. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts, friends, co-workers, and anyone whose life Brenda touched are encouraged to make donations in her name at the link below, to the ASPCA, or to any local animal rescue organization. https://support.bestfriends.org/site/TR/PersonalFundraising/General?team_id=8523&pg=team&fr_id=1460
