Bradley Webster Watkins passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2014. He was born August 26, 1969 in Birmingham, AL. Brad was a devoted father and husband who will be deeply missed. For the past three years, Brad was the IT Director of Special Counsel, a division of Adecco Group, NA. He was responsible for all IT aspects of its nationwide legal review centers and was instrumental with developing Special Counsel’s newest EDiscovery technology service offerings. Brad was relied upon by hundreds of colleagues and friends to ensure successful deployment of IT solutions across the country. Brads technological prowess combined with his easy going personality made people love working for and with him. Those touched by Brad at Adecco mourn his passing. From 1996-2009, Brad was the Director of Information Technology for ATS, Inc. In 2009 ATS became known as Talagy, where Brad continued his duties until 2011. Brad was a member of the executive management team and was instrumental in growing ATS from a small staffing employment services company to a company with 11 offices providing staffing solutions nationwide. Brad not only helped ATS grow in its technology but provided leadership in many of the corporation’s critical decisions. Ultimately, Brad was an invaluable commodity in helping ATS with its transition to Talagy. Brad was also an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. He served in a number of leadership roles, including Scoutmaster. Brad was a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s honor society. In addition, Brad proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Watkins is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Catherine; son, Bradley Michael Watkins; daughter, Brittany Elizabeth Watkins; parents, Drenna and Edward Shrake; brothers, Ty Shrake and Lee Watkins; sisters, Kelly Vandemar and Kimberly Weismore; grandmother, Olmer Webster; numerous in laws, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Deacon Tony as Officiant. There will be a reception immediately following. Interment will be at a later date in Birmingham, Alabama. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Every Boy Deserves a Chance campaign for the Boy Scouts of America, North Florida Council at 521 South Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
