She moved with the family to Kirkwood, Missouri, in the 3rd grade, and graduated from Kirkwood High School. She attended Miss Hickey’s Business School, where she excelled in her secretarial studies. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida with her parents, she held prestigious administrative assistant positions in the banking world.
She met her beloved Michael Snider when she attended church with her friend Sherry Snider (Mike’s sister). It was love at first sight, he proposed on their second date, and they were married 5 months later. This past summer they celebrated their 40th anniversary.
They were blessed with 3 children, Jonathan, Adam, and Rebecca. Bonnie was very proud of the adults they became. Her grandchildren, Sophia and Noah (Becky’s children) loved their Grammy dearly, and she relished the time she got to spend with them.
10 years ago Mike and Bonnie became full time missionaries in Haiti. They took care of the children at the orphanage of Cabaret Haiti Mission, Inc. She loved the children, personally caring for the babies too small to be in the orphanage proper.
Unfortunately, too soon after their return to Jacksonville from Haiti, she was afflicted with Covid, which ultimately claimed her earthly life. She is, without a doubt, now enjoying her forever life with the Lord..
Bonnie is survived by her adoring husband, Michael Snider, sons Jonathan, Adam and wife Lucy, daughter Rebecca Jaffe (and husband Matt) and 2 grandchildren, Sophia and Noah. She also leaves behind her brother Robert Swanson (wife Cindy) and sister Carol Ethington (husband James).
