Billy Rewis, 86, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Billy was born March 1, 1934 in Macclenny, Florida. He was married to Sue Frances Miller on November 8, 1951. Billy had careers in the Navy, in Forest Service, at National Airlines, as a contractor and as a massage therapist. He was a member of American Legion 137 and had a passion for golf, Billiard/pool.
He was survived by his children Glynda Mae Rewis Newton, Billy Mark Rewis, and Sherree Marlene Rewis Lynch; grandchildren Victoria Elizabeth Newton, Phillip Edward Newton, Billy Mark Rewis, Jr., Ashley Hayward St. Clair, Joshua Lynch and Christopher Lynch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Sue Frances.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Funeral services will start at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Zane Koonce officiating with a graveside service following at Riverside Memorial Park.
