Billy Gene Hall was born July 16th,1943 to Alvin Otto and Callie Belle Hall in Jacksonville, FL. He was the youngest of 5 brothers; Ed, Fred, Ted, Jr, Bobby, and 2 sisters; Christine and Jerry. He passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 17, 2024.
Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments; Billy (formally known as “Bill”) he always used to say he was called Bill because he always had bills. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom. He learned and taught many values to his family. He had a passion for NASCAR, loved to eat barbeque, and looked up to his idol Elvis Presley. Growing up as a kid he helped his father sell fruits and vegetables at the farmer’s market. Inspiring him to want to work for himself. As he got older, he worked hard enough to do so and ran his very own trucking company Hall’s Delivery service, alongside his wife Linda Hall.
In his early life he met his wife, Linda Pless. They happily married in 1963. They worked together to build and empire. Later, not only buying their own home but purchasing and managing rental properties for years. Married for 40 years, and fostered the care of 3 children in 2001, until the passing of his wife in 2003. Resulting in adoption of Cameren, Brooke, and Zack Hall later that year, which Bill found was his greatest joy.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Linda in 2003, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and mother Callie Belle and father Alvin Hall.
His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children; Cameren Hall, Brooke Hall, and Billy Zack Hall, and 3 grandchildren.
A graveside service for Billy will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
