Beverly was predeceased by her husband Cecil Hanson; her parents, Maynard and Thelma Trout; brother, Maynard H. Trout; and two grandsons, Bradley and Joey Cox.
Faith and family were most important to Beverly. She was a faithful member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church and loved the years she worked in Preschool for the Moms’ Day Out program. Previously, she was a member of Lake Forest Baptist Church where she and her husband led the Senior Adult Ministry - The Lively Bunch - for many years with senior choir trips, bus tours and other activities.
Family was the greatest treasure of her life! Over the years, there have been many family vacations, holiday celebrations, and casual gatherings where laughing, stories and meals were shared. In her later years, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her much joy and delight.
Beverly retired from the Duval County School System with service at Kirby Smith Middle, Sheffield Elementary and Henry Kite Elementary. Following that retirement, she worked for several years at the port for Carnival Cruise Lines where she enjoyed greeting and checking in guests.
The family will receive friends at 11 am on Friday, November 29, at Hardage Giddens Riverside Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Services will follow at 12 noon with interment at 1 pm.
