Beverly Ann Becker, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. She was born on December 27, 1927, in Westfield, NJ, the daughter of Olive Grace Wesp and Howard F. Wesp. She met her loving husband John Edward Becker, Sr. in 1946 and after a roller skating courtship was married in the Methodist Church on June 14, 1946, in Cranford, NJ. Beverly and John celebrated their 70th anniversary this past June 2016. She and John resided in the Washington, DC area for many years and ultimately ended up in Jacksonville, FL. They have been members of Mandarin United Methodist Church for over twenty years and donated much of their time to volunteer tasks at the church. She was the loving mother of Sharon Lee Coombes (Edward), John Edward Becker, Jr. (Maria) and Sandra Lynn Matrangos (Michael). She was the loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. And will also be greatly missed by many friends and extended family. She was an accomplished seamstress and crocheted many beautiful blankets and hats for cancer and veteran patients. She was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding service to the D.A.V. Auxiliary Unit 26, Mandarin Senior Citizen Center.
