Betty JoAnn Weathington

WEATHINGTON Today we mourn the loss of a wife, mother, grandmother and best friend. Born March 10, 1940, Betty JoAnn Weathington has left our family with a legacy of love, grace and honor. A breast cancer survivor, she taught us how to have courage, dignity and a sense of humor in the face of adversity. The love she had for her family cannot be measured with words, but with the strong foundation that she laid before us with her strength, kindness and loyalty. She will forever be our Hero. We celebrate her victories and her life as she has gone to be with the Lord, her memory cherished by those she has left behind, the love of her life, Raleigh G. Weathington; two daughters, Charlie Mills (Sam) and Cheryl Greene (Esau); her three sons, Randy (Kim), Rick (Cherrie) and Danny (Laurie); ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Shivers; a sister, Geneva Hunter; and numerous extended family members. Visitation will be TODAY, at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Chapel, from 6 until 8 PM. The funeral service will Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2 PM, also at the Blanding Chapel.
