Betty King Scott, 80, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Orange Park, FL. She was born August 25, 1936 to Floyd and Mamie King in Waycross, GA. Betty loved to cook coconut pies with her great-granddaughter Brianna as well as shop for clothing and jewelry. She enjoyed eating out at the dinner theater, the Alhambra. Betty is survived by her sister Lillian Gaddis, daughter, Sheila Lane, grandchildren Dawn Urruti Stanley with husband, Robert Stanley, Daniel Ellison, Nicholas Ellison, great-grandchildren Brianna Leigh Taylor and (Brick) Robert Stanley 3rd. A funeral service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073 at 2:30pm.
