Betty Ann Porter

Betty Ann Porter, age 94, of Saint Johns, Florida passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 15, 1930 to Margaret Johnson. Betty married Clarence Glenn "Frank" Porter, Jr. on May 14, 1954. Throughout her life she was a housewife, mom, executive secretary, and employee of Walmart. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and arts & crafts. Betty loved to travel and had been on many trips. She enjoyed being a Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great Great Grandma. She loved being "Maw". She was also a member of Switzerland Community Church.

Betty is survived by her children Susan Butler (Hugh) of Knoxville, TN; Joanie LaPorta of Saint Johns, FL; and C. Glenn Porter, III of Saint Johns, FL. Also her grandchildren Brandi Moody (Boone) of Lenoir City, TN; Mandi Russell of Lenoir City, TN; Ryan Jordan of Lenoir City, TN; Danna Kasper (Bryce) of Atlantic Beach, FL; Ashley Perry of Saint Johns, FL; Todd Hobbs (Angie) of Ohio; and Denise Hobbs of Ohio, great grandchildren Caleb and Noah Moody; Austin Hart (Amber), Baily and Levi Russell; Ansley Bennett (Ryan); Jake Hobbs; Jade, Jillian and Sage Hobbs; Anna Woods; and Arin and Andrew Hobbs, and her great great grandchildren Mabel Capri Bennett; Parker, Charlotte and Micayla Perry; and Oliver Woods.

Betty was predeceased in death by her husband Clarence Glenn "Frank" Porter; her parents William and Margaret Johnson; her father in law Clarence Glenn Porter Sr.; her mother and father in law Claude and Catherine Weeks; her daughter Linda Hobbs; her daughter Jill Porter Meadows; and her grandson Chad Steven Martin.
