Betty Lou Maurer

Betty L. Maurer, age 84 years old, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on March 7, 2023. She was born on May 31, 1938 in Boswell, PA to Alton Reffner and Susan Reffner. She married Donald E. Maurer on June 24, 1956.

Betty was the co-owner of D and B Upholstery. Betty’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her everything but she also loved baking, crocheting and working in the yard.

She is survived by son, Jeffrey Maurer (Tina); daughter, Debbie Greene (Derek); son Jerry Maurer (Debby); grandson, Ryan Maurer (Amy); grandson, Aaron Maurer (Shelley); great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Kenley, and Kora; brother, Richard Reffner (Yuriko); brother, Donald Reffner; brother, Lynn Reffner (Dana); and sister, Phyllis Yourich (John).

Preceded in death by her spouse, Donald Maurer; parents, Alton and Susan Reffner; sister, Dorothy Reffner and brother, Roy Reffner.

The Maurer Family would like to thank the nursing staff of Community Hospice and Palliative Care for their excellent care.

A graveside service for Betty will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
