She was preceded in death by her father Horton Teague, her mother Mary Ellen and her sisters Dorothea Ridenhour and Nellie Smith.
She is survived by her son Abner Dennis, his wife Carla, her granddaughter Carly, her daughter Denise,
brothers Gary and Robert and sister Martha Nan Burkett.
She attended Granite Quarry High School and Massey Business College. She worked for National Life Insurance Company
and Saint Luke’s Hospital before retiring from Mayo Clinic. After retirement she enjoyed reading, working in her gardens,
rooting for the TarHeels, spoiling her granddaughter and being a member of Fouraker Road Baptist Church.
A graveside service officiated by Ody Witt will be held on Friday March 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park,
7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32205.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the care of Community Hospice of NE Florida.
