Betty B Cowen

Daughter of Robert and Zelma Buchanan. Preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Daniel Cowen, her son, Ronald Cowen and her sister Jane Kuykendall.

Betty was a member of the Eastern Star, the Garden Club of Jacksonville, FL, she was a cosmetologist for over 30 years, an oil painter and a children's Sunday school teacher for Lake Shore United Methodist Church for 15 or more years. Betty was a devout Christian, a faithful wife, and a loving mother. She raised three boys while Dan was in the service, and over twenty years later she raised her daughter. Betty is survived by her sons Gary (Birgit), Robert (Lygaya), daughter Amber, daughter-in-law Karen and grand children Niki, Dustin, and Kalahn, many step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren . She was deeply loved and will be missed.

A visitation for Betty will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Monday, December 30, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
