She was born August 20, 1921 to Amado and Tomasa Gaspar in Munoz, Philippines.
Bernarda loved to travel and garden. She was an excellent seamstress and owned her own shop in the Philippines.
Bernarda is preceded in death by two very loving husbands, Juan, who she was married to for 12 years and Segundo, who she was married to for 8 years and one son Hacildo Hermosura. She is survived by two daughters Hortencia (Gonzalo) Espino, Maria Helen Grace (Dionisio) Deguzman, one son Harold (Rose) Hermosura, one sister Miguela Gantioqui, 10 grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren.
A visitation for friends will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10am at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8523 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
