Ben was born December 26, 1942 at St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville, Fl. A graduate of Englewood High School class of 1960. Ben is a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force retiring as a Master Sargent. He has retired from FSCJ. He was an Elder at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Regency Congregation.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Bennett. Ben is survived by his son, Todd (Sheila) in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. He has two grandsons Alex Pace graduate of Fletcher Class of 2017, and Jon Pace graduate of Fletcher Class of 2019 in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. Also survived by his son-in-law Brian Bennett in Rock Hill, SC.
Ben was an avid Florida Gators fan, not missing a single football game. Bella, his black lab, faithfully by his side for each touchdown or interception.
The family sends out a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, Jehovah's Witnesses family and Ft. Caroline Baptist Church family.
The visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 11225 Ashley Melisse Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
The graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:30 PM in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
