Benjamin "Ben" Vann Burford

Ben was born on February 13, 1987, in Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Forest High School and Florida State College. Some of his primary places of employment were Bestbet as a poker dealer and Roto-Rooter as a project manager. Ben was an amazing son, grandson, brother, uncle, fiancé, dog dad, and friend. He was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and fought this disease for over 3 years with everything he had. During this arduous journey, he was incredibly grateful for the love and support he received from family and friends. Some of his hopes and dreams were stolen from him when his life was taken too soon, but he definitely made an impact in his 36 years on this earth.

Ben leaves behind fiancé, Gina Greco; parents, Mark and Barbara Burford; sister, Allie Menz; nephew, Brady Menz; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on July 10th at 2pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Normandy Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Community Hospice at 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Ben, everyone you left behind is sad you are gone, but happy you are free from pain and in peace. We will love you and miss you every day until we can meet again.
