Benjamin H. Buchanan, 92, passed on September 28, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. Ben served 4 years in the Navy. He worked 32 years on Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department and retired as an Engineer on Ladder 30.
Preceding Ben in death was his first wife Jean Buchanan, parents Benjamin and Ollie, and 7 siblings.
Survivors are his wife Ruth Buchanan, daughter Teresa Foltz (David, deceased) of St. Johns, FL, son Todd Buchanan (Norma) of Pikeville, TN, stepson Tim Foltz (Connie) of Jacksonville, stepdaughters Debra Evans (Larry, deceased), Tallahassee, FL and Cathy Bulls (Fred) of Jacksonville, FL. Ben had 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
