Brothr Ben, always had a smile, loved his family and was highly respected by all who knew him. Was a pleasant man of GOD. 
Preformed our marriage in June of 1959.

Brother Ben was a fine Christian Man of God 
He was there whenever we needed him. He was my pastor. He baptized me and also officiated my wedding 43 years ago. He loved his church family and served it well and loved by many. I know he's with our heavenly father and maybe who knows eating fried chicken

Brother Ben was the most wonderful, loving, caring pastor that anyone could ever hope to have. My love and prayers go out to all the family . What a wonderful legacy he leaves! 
I will never forget when he got up off of his sick bed and came to minister to us, when our precious little Curtis died at age 6. Brother Ben was not only a pastor he was also like a father and when he gave advice it was always straight from the word of God. I have so many beautiful memories of him. God has used him to bless so many lives. I know when he walked through those gates that God said to him, “welcome home my good and faithful servant. “I’m sure he has many jewels in his crown. Another special memory I have of him is when my daughter Cheryl was a little girl and  was diagnosed with appendicitis by two different doctors. The first thing I thought to do was call brother Ben. Because he knew how to get in touch with God. And I was so sure if he prayed for her that she would be OK. We took her straight from the doctors office to the hospital and when we got there brother Ben was already there. I will never forget he laid his hands on her stomach and he prayed for her she said the pain just went away.They kept her overnight for observation just scratching their hands because two different doctors had said her appendix had to come out right away. But I knew and Brother Ben knew that the great physician had already healed her.
There are no words to express the love, and gratitude, and the respect I have for this man of God. His memory will always be precious to me. May God bless you all.

Papa, I love you. You always said  now darling listen to Papa and you were always right. You were always there for me and my family. Your friendship changed my daddy's life ( Olin McLean)  and he became a man of God. Thank You, you also gave me the assurance I would see Richard (son) again. You also gave me a special friend in Daisy, I cherish that friendship today. God said welcome my faithful servant. You were so faithful. West Part lost so much when you retired.  I know you are truly happy with you sweet She and your Jesus!💘.


Brother Ben married my Mom & Dad (Vernon & Lawana Gordon) 68 years ago.  I grew up in Sunday School and church at  GrandPark and then WestPark.  He always called me baby girl!  I have very fond memories of  Brother Ben and his family. Heaven has gained  a great soul!  Prayers for the family.

I will always miss you forever and always.  I love you like you was my own father .you was always very loving and very caring and I could talk to you about anything and you will always be very sweet to me.  You was always happy. Thank you for teaching and learning me about jesus our Heavenly Father . I will always remember you and how you would always learn me about Jesus.  I will never ever forget you brother Ben Jones.. now rest in peace now that your work is done. Sending prayers to all the family members and friends . Love yall.  

I remember growing up, my Grandpa telling how Bro Ben used to preach to all of the men at the railroad on their lunch break in Baldwin.  Little did I know, years later he would be such a blessing to my family as we went to the missionfield working with Native Americans. Thank you Jones family for sharing your Dad with so many. I was saved during a revival lead by Rev Jones at Grand Park Baptist Church.  God has welcomed a great Christian man home. 

To the children of Uncle Ben.  The first visit to Jacksonville, Fl was when J.H. and Me went to their home.  I was a new bride and scared to death about going.  It turn out to be so great and really enjoyed the service at his church.  
We loved all the family and miss you guys.

I can remember the first time Bro Ben preached at Grand Park . He looked like a kid. We came to love this man of God. He use to come to our house on Friday nights to watch the fights, it was fun to watch him get so excited.Bro Ben always seem to be there when we needed him. His visits meant the world to the Gordon family. In 1992 l had major surgery and thought I was alone, when I woke up the first face l saw was Bro Ben. Thank you Jesus for sending this faithful man of God to Grand Park/West Park. Rest In Peace we will all meet again soon. 

Pastor Ben Jones was a wonderful man and preacher!  I was only 9 years old when I accepted the Lord as my Savior under the preaching of Brother Ben.  We had a tough life as children with an alcoholic father, and being a member of Grand Park Baptist helped us in many ways!  I am so thankful for Brother Ben and the family we had at church for being another family for all of us!  

Brother Ben Jones was a God sent to myself and my Family at one of the hardest times we ever had. His Parishioners knew they could call him anytime day or night and he would be there to pray with you and help you whatever the need may be. My Family and I loved Brother Ben and Mrs Sue. He was loved and he will be missed by so many. May he RIP. 🙏❤️

Brother Ben was my childhood preacher. I grew up in Grand Park Baptist Church. It was some of my fondest memories. Grew up with his kids, loved brother Ben like he was my second father. He was hard, funny and loving. Wonderful memories.

Brother Ben was a wonderful Pastor and Friend. I too was fortunate to witness him pray many miracles down from Heaven.  I remember him referring to everyone as "Honey " and always having the right thing to say concerning any problem you might be facing. The World is a better place because of Brother Ben Jones.

Brother Ben preached of many miracles that he had encountered during his life. One of those miracles was my 3 month old nephew that doctors had pronounced dead following a bout with pneumonia. The little baby was at St. Vincent's Hospital and Brother Ben got there just as they had his parents leave the room. Bro. Ben told them to go back into the room because God told him the baby was only sleeping. This made the staff a little angry, however when his mom lifted the sheet and picked the infant up she heard the baby gasp for air! That baby lives in Jacksonville and I spoke to him this week about his 1949 miracle! Praise God for this wonderful man's life!

He was a great pastor to our family. He was there for us through the years in good times and bad. He traveled to Arkansas to be with our family when  our Judy passed away- that meant so much to our Daddy.  So thankful for his prayers and presence when comfort was needed. 
A faithful and devoted servant of God. 💙

There are no words that sufficiently express the love and respect I have for this man. He was friends with my Mom and Dad in their youth and they were both saved through his ministry. His faith in God and his love for people was such a blessing and comfort. He was a wonderful man, friend, and pastor. He never failed to show up when he was needed and provide support and prayer. He was a rare individual who made the world better. He will be missed. 

Met my wife at Grandpark Baptist. We enjoyed Bro Ben's preaching  and all the songs we sang.  Bro Ben married us on June 26, 1959. Judy and I visited Bro Ben at the rest home on our 60th anniversary.  Heaven is a little richer with his presence there. One day in the future we will all be rejoicing with the pastor of our youth.

Bro Ben was the epitome of a pastor and shepherd. He was always there when my family needed him. When my dad was in hospice at Methodist hospital I’ll never forget arriving at the hospital to find Bro. Ben helping dad take a shower. While still wearing that cowboy hat. Back in the day there were very few doctors and nurses that didn’t know who that preacher in the white cowboy hat was.

Rest In Peace and enjoy the presence of our Savior. 

Brother  Ben is and always will be a Wonderful disciple of God. There is No finer Man of God and no finer Pastor. He truly lived by his word.The day I was saved he said If you need me day or night call and If I can't come, I'll send a messenger. He always came.When my father-in-law was in hospital, we found Brother Ben assisting in feeding him. Many more times hes been there for our family.Love him.
