Barbara was born on February 10, 1935 in Lamar, CO to Otis and Anna Snyder and married Harold Scott, Jr. on August 30, 1964. She and Harold moved to Atlanta, GA to start their new life together and relocated to the Orlando, FL area in 1971 to raise their three young children. Throughout her lifetime, Barbara enjoyed several careers, including numerous secretarial positions, followed by stints in real estate and retail sales.
Barbara will be remembered as a gracious and caring lady who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone she met. She truly loved people and cherished the time spent with her family and friends. After her husband’s passing in 2013, Barbara relocated to Jacksonville, FL, to be closer to two of her grandchildren. As a proud “Nana,” she relished the daily activities of her grandkids, from soccer and swim meets, to birthdays and graduations. Having grown weaker to heart complications over the past few years and recent repeated hospitalizations over the last few months, she left us to join the loved ones we’ve reluctantly had to say goodbye to in recent years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Elmer, her mother, Anna, her sister, Betty, her brothers, Elmer and Richard, and her husband, Harold. She is survived by her children, Betsi, Mark (wife Marissa), and Donna (husband Ed), and her grandchildren, Christiana (CJ), Justin (JC), and Jack.
Rest In Peace and bask in the glory of God’s grace, our beloved Mom and Nana!
