Barbara Jean Allen, passed away on July 25, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 76. Born on November 22, 1947, in Warren County, Virginia, Barbara was a beacon of love and faith throughout her life.
A devout Christian, Barbara exemplified the virtues of kindness, strength, and honesty, nurturing her children with unconditional love and support. She is remembered as an extraordinary mother and a guiding light to all who knew her.
Barbara is survived by her loving children, Fred Morgan, Pam Morgan, Angela Gosselin, Melva Allen, and Richell Green; brother Steven Welch, and sister Darlene Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Bradley Allen; her parents, George Welch and Virginia Cumbee; her sisters, Mary Ann Mosley and Janet Rivera; her brother, Wesley Mosley; and her baby girl, Patricia Morgan.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Barbara's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
