Austin Anthony Browning, Jr., age 94, passed away on December 20, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Austin was born on January 15, 1924 in Scotland, Georgia to Austin Anthony Browning, Sr. and Eula Inez Browning. Austin was a member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Austin worked for 45 years with Genuine Parts. He was a loving and faithful husband, loving father and grandfather, and friend. Those who knew and loved him will miss Austin dearly.
Austin is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Dorothy M. Browning; three sons Gary Browning (Edna), Craig Browning (Sharron), and Dale Browning (Marcie); six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
