Armond Lehman Sr., 90, of Jacksonville, Fl. passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Armond was born in Jacksonville on November 2, 1921. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. Armond was the owner of 301 Liquors in Starke, Florida and resided on Lake Santa Fe in Melrose Florida for a number of years. He served in the United States Army Air Corps and was the side gunner and radio operator on a B-17. He enjoyed amateur radio and was licensed as KC4IYS. Armond is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Lehman, and is survived by his son Armond “Rick” Lehman Jr., daughter-in-law, Myra, adult grandchildren Christopher and David Lehman, sister-in-laws Gloria Whitney and Mary Young, nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. My dad, who was known as “a very nice man with a great sense of humor”, will be missed by all of us. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 12:00- 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. Internment will immediately follow the visitation.
