Annie Laverne Martin

Annie Laverne Martin, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 13, 2013. She was born in Parker, FL on July 29, 1926. Mrs. Martin resided in Jacksonville and Orange Park for the past 60 years and was retired from the school cafeteria system after 30 years of service. Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Thompson, her second husband, Grady Martin, two sons, Aubrey Thompson and Thomas Martin (Doris). She is survived by her son, Larry Thompson (Sandra), two granddaughters, Amy Leininger (Ronnie) and Tracy Fulmer (Chris) and six grandsons, Aric Martin, Thomas Martin, of Jacksonville, Steve and Michael Thompson of Albany, GA, Robert and William Thompson of Tampa, FL and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Riverside Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Quality Care ALF for their compassionate care of Annie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Haven Hospice in Orange Park.
