Annie was a sweet, loving, kind, Christian mother who taught Sunday School, Sunbeams, VBS, in addition to being a youth group leader, deacon’s wife and school mom. She did it all even while her husband Mike was on deployment. Annie’s servant heart allowed her to show God’s grace to others everywhere they lived: Newport News VA, Naples Italy, Great Mills MD, Jacksonville FL, Marietta GA, and Orange Park FL. While living in Florida she served the Lord in many capacities at Normandy Park Baptist Church, Orange Park First Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. In her later years as a widow, she married Mel Braswell, a fellow Christian and church member. They shared their time between First Baptist and traveling to Branson, MO and the mountains of VA, and NC. She had a fulfilling life and was a fantastic Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother!
The family would like to say thank you to Quality Care of Florida (Orange Park) for the excellent care they provided Annie. In addition to a huge thank you to Community Hospice and Palliative Care (Jacksonville) for the years of marvelous, attentive, compassionate care they provided her, we are very grateful.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257. www.communityhospice.com
