Annie Mae Altman, a Jacksonville native, slipped into Heaven on August 27, 2019 to be with her entire immediate family. She was possibly the longest reigning active Florida Special Olympics athlete (since 1971). She was also a member of Lakeshore Lodge Moose 2020 Chapter 1495, The ARC.Org, ARC Jacksonville.Org and Silver Fox Square Dancers.
Annie was predeceased by parents Solomon and Lillian Altman; and sisters Ollie, Addie, Doris, Dolly and Lillie. Annie is survived by her beloved guardian Robert Fox (Patty). She was a loving aunt to Bob Pierce (Evelyn), Rick Kallman (Patty), Dawn Inman-Snead (Paul) & Julie Cannizzaro (Ralph) and her long time friend, Alma Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Riverside Memorial Park.
