Our beloved Amy, aged 33, was tragically, unexpectedly, and unnecessarily taken from us on December 24, 2018. Although the shock and disbelief of Amy’s sudden departure from this earth is difficult to understand, it would be against her wishes for us to dwell on her passing. Amy would want us to remember her as the fun loving young lady that everyone just could not help but love.
Amy was born on May 20, 1985 in Jacksonville, Florida. Amy enjoyed a cheerful childhood as a tomboy who was full of life. Amy adored her older brother Brad and always wanted to be just like him. Amy was always trusting and non-judgemental and always wanted to help those less fortunate than her. She was constantly bringing home stray animals that needed her love and care. Amy’s childhood loves included tap and ballet, but her real love was softball.
Amy attended Ed White High School and graduated from The Broach School in Orange Park, FL. Amy graduated at the top of her class from Everest University in Orange Park with a Pharmacy Technician degree.
Amy was married to Wesley Scott on December 27, 2005, which resulted in three beautiful loving children. Amy’s kids were her total focus in life and her main goal was providing a loving and stable home for them.
Survivors include her parents Marcus Searcy and Teresa Floyd(Steve), her brother Brad Searcy(Angie), and her children Ethan, Katelynn, and Brandon, Grandmother Georgia Taylor, Grandmother Lorene Searcy, Aunts, Uncles and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services for Amy will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 7242 Normandy Blvd in Jacksonville, FL. Viewing will be on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00. The funeral will be held on Sunday December 30, 2018 at the funeral home at 2:00 followed by graveside at the adjoining Riverside Memorial Park.
