TATE Alonzo Lloyd “Lonnie”, 75, passed away October 11, 2011. He was born November 14, 1935 and was a lifetime resident of Jacksonville. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jacqueline Tate; his two sisters, Dorothy Smith (Rodney) and Margaret Johnson; his brother Robert Tate; his two sons Robin Tate and Tony Butler; his three daughters Teri Moore Pollard, Patti Fulda, and Judy Harbin; his six grandchildren, Stacey Rowe (Seth),Wayne Butler, Jr,(Arzoo), Max Harbin, Franchelle Harbin, Jason Fulda and Devin Lloyd Pollard; his three great-grandchildren, twins: Mikalah & Makenzie Fulda, and Seth Rowe, Jr. Lonnie shared his passion for hunting, fishing and gardening with family and friends. He was introduced to the Florida Bluebird Society by his dear friend David Foster and built several bluebird houses for friends. A special thank you to his nurses, Linda Foster and Karen Grimm, of the Orange Park Infusion. May he remain in your heart and memories. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, October 17th, in the Chapel of Town & Country Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Boulevard; Jacksonville, Florida 32205. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 18th in the Chapel of Town & Country Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home with his friend Wayne Helton as Officiant.
