Alice had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her heart into caring for those around her. After many years raising her family she later worked side by side with her husband Salem in their family-run sandwich shops. She continued to share her energy and warmth while working with her sons at the original Harry’s at the Jacksonville Landing—where she became affectionately known as “Big AL.” Her love for cooking was legendary among those who knew her. Arabic dishes were her specialty—prepared with care and shared generously during countless family meals and celebrations. Alice never missed an opportunity to gather with loved ones or lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether volunteering for causes close to her heart or simply showing up to support friends and family at special events or casual get-togethers, she brought joy wherever she went.
