Alfred A. Miller Jr. age 91, died peacefully at home on April 16, 2017. Born August 31, 1925 in Jacksonville, FL, Al is preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Dorothy R. Miller. He is survived by his daughter Michelle McCloud and stepchildren: Gloria Howard, Larry Richardson, Debbie Taylor and Steve Richardson.
Al was a huge Florida Gators fan. He was the University of Florida Light Heavyweight boxing champion and the sports editor for the school newspaper in the 1940’s. He was a pilot and served in the military as such during WWII. He was a manager for the General Motors Acceptance Division. Al enjoyed fishing, boating, shopping, golf and the Gators. He even had a few hole in one trophies. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 11 am in his honor at Riverside Memorial Park.
