Albert F. Sciarratta, age 93, passed away November 15, 2016. Albert was born on September 30, 1923 in Valdese, North Carolina to Felix and Jessie Sciarratta. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. Albert was also a member of the American Legion.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Josephine; son Dennis Sciarratta (Linda); daughter, Karen Sciarratta; grandchildren Christi, Jami, Ryan (Andreen), and Alysia (K.C.); eleven great-grandchildren; brother Felix Sciarratta; and a niece Sandra Acito (Frank).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016, at two o’clock in the afternoon at Town and Country Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be designated to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, TOWN AND COUNTRY Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
