Ute G. Belmont

Ute Hildegard Belmont (79) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020. Ute was born on April 13, 1941 to Werner and Hildegard Gummert in Berlin Germany. She was raised in, Heidelberg Germany with older brother Ulf. Ute migrated to the United States in 1963 where she met her husband Richard in Jacksonville, Florida. Ute and Richard married in 1966 in Heidelberg and raised two sons, Alex and Chris. Ute is also survived by three grandchildren, Kennedy, Miles, and Hunter.

Ute was a very caring person who dedicated much of her career to working with children at a kindergarten daycare. Later in life, she devoted many years volunteering at the Mayo Clinic and attending regularly at Deermeadows Baptist Church. Ute enjoyed tending to her garden, collecting fine china, and taking long walks on the beach. She will be missed.

She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
