One of Terry's biggest accomplishments was his ability as a skilled self-taught acoustic guitarist. He played those strings better than anyone he knew and was not shy about sitting down anytime playing you a song. He worked hard at making himself one of the best framing carpenters in his business. He loved his blueprints and his attention to detail was his passion. He enjoyed his work and anyone who knew him or worked with him was impressed. Terry served in the Air Force branch of the military at the end of the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam war serving as an administrative clerk in the Admirals's office. He could type 80 WPM and excelled in every aspect of his work and commitment to his country.
Predeceased in life by his mother, Rebecca Thomas Page and his older brother, Charles Flowers Jr. Surviving members of his family include; Eileen Westwater with whom he had a loving relationship for 23 years, his step-daughter Erica Westwater and grandchildren , Shaylyn and Bella from Jacksonville as well as his sister in law Judith Olack, and brother in law Robert Forney. He is also survived by his father Charles Flowers Sr., brothers Jeffrey Flowers of Jacksonville, Kelvin Flowers, and wife Lisa and nieces Hailey and Holly, and brother Vincent Flowers and his wife Stephanie. Other neices include; Julie and Kellie that reside in Lynchburg, Virginia was Terry was born.
A memorial service will be held this Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 4pm at the Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens located 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250
