Stanley Zelusky, 77, went to his heavenly home with Jesus on Friday, May 27, 2011. Born in Minersville, PA he moved to Jacksonville in 1957. He served in the US Marine Corps and Florida Air National Guard retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1990 with a total of 30 years’ service.
Stan is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Gehret) Zelusky; sisters Peggy, Margaret (Mim) Olexo, Katherine (Kay) Woll, and brothers Robert (Bobby), Michael and Francis.
He leaves behind his wife, Barbara; children Elaine James (Wayne), Julie McElwee (Ricky), Cindy Fortenberry, and John Thaden; 6 grandchildren, Shawn McElwee (Steffanie), Andrew Fortenberry, Elizabeth Fortenberry, Daniel McElwee, Iona Thaden and David Thaden; one great grandson, Caelan McElwee; and three sisters Patricia Hume, Dorothy Marie Welgo and Elizabeth (Libby) Callaghan.
