Sandy Wigle Carpenter

She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a long battle with leukemia.

She was born August 10, 1938 in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Merlin & Lola (Farnsworth) McCabe. Sandy graduated from Bunnell High School, Class of 1957. She and her husband Ken Carpenter celebrated 26 years of marriage in August. Surviving in addition to her husband Ken, are her son Rick Wygle and wife, Lisa of Birmingham, AL and her son Blair Wygle and wife, Kim of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; stepsons Kendall and wife, Jeannette, Chris and Michael of Granville, OH; grandchildren Lindsey and husband Colby, Adam, Sarah, John, Sam; great-grandchild Max Martin; sister, Lana Courson of Orange Park, FL and brother Jack McCabe and wife, Sharon of Foley, FL. A longtime resident of Atlantic Beach, she enjoyed Republican politics, reading, sewing and summers at their North Carolina cabin. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Service will be officiated by Pastor Cris Garrard and Pastor Joby Martin and held at The Church of Eleven22, 14286 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32250, Monday, September 12th at 1:00pm.

Reception immediately following.

Flowers may be sent prior to 11am Monday to Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 and will be delivered collectively to the church.
