In his early years him and his mother Elizabeth, moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he was later raised by his father Ray Alton and grew up with his siblings, Michael, Teresa and David.
As a kid Robert loved adventure, he loved to surf and spend time as much time at the beach. He loved fishing from the beach to the Jetties. He attended Fletcher High School. Where he grew up playing football got his nickname “PUNCH”.
Robert was proud to be from Jacksonville, Florida and loved the Jacksonville Jaguars. He loved his family and friends. He always held them close to his heart. Robert never met a stranger. He always was the life of the party. He never missed a festival, 4th of July at the beach, or Thanksgiving at Pete’s Bar.
Robert was a skilled carpenter and loved building things. He was proud to drive by and show all the custom homes he helped build.
Robert over the years he became closer to God, he attended the eleven22 church and worked on finding peace and healing through his faith.
Robert is survived by his mother, Elizabeth McMahon; stepfather, Ray Alton and wife, Maggie Alton; daughter, Rylee McMahon and Alexia Suarez (mother of daughter), son Jax McMahon and Maranda Fulgham ( mother of son); brother, Michael Alton, sister, Teresa Alton, brother, David Alton, sister, Iris Lantigua, sister, Deyanira Davis and Marvin Davis; brother Henry Lantigua and wife, Rimma Lantigua, brother, Steve Lantigua, brother, Orlando Irizarry; step-brother, Kellan Alton, step-sister, Ariyanna and Yasmin wood; nieces and nephews Mason, Draven, Jade, Steven, Ava, Hazel, Quincy, Kaili, Siennah, Paola, Cameron, Orlando Jr., Jaxson, O'lanys, Olivia, Destiny; Aunts, Debra McMahon, Grace Burg, Joanne McMahon, Barbra McMahon, Christine McMahon, Elena Lantigua and loved by many cousins, family members, friends and girl friend, Ryan-Lyn Costello.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Cecilio Rafael (Chilo) Lantigua; grandfather, Joseph McMahon and grandmother, Florence McMahon; aunt, Diane Clyburn.
A visitation for Punch will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from, 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
