Paola Puga Harrington, 29, passed away October 11, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic. Born in Poza Rica de Hidalgo, Veracruz, Mexico, she survived two liver transplants at the age of 15. She immigrated to the U.S. at 19 years old and received her American citizenship in 2011.
Paola earned her AS degree in International Business Administration and worked at the Davis Building at Mayo Clinic for the last four years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 7 years, Christopher Paul Harrington; devoted parents, Pablo Puga and Emma Castillo de Puga; brother, Pablo Puga and sister, Valeria Puga and many friends and co-workers.
Funeral services for Paola will be held 6 pm Thursday at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach with Fr. Manuel Puga presiding. A visitation and viewing will be also beheld Thursday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m.
