Pamela Whittington Rosenberger, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on April 24th, 2014 at 5:42pm at Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was born on November, 27th, 1950. Pamela moved here to the San Jose area in 1964, with her family, entering the 8th grade. Pamela graduated from Wolfson High School in 1969, and from University of North Florida 1975, with her Bachelor’s Degree. She received her Master’s in the early eighties. She taught at Mattie V. Rutherford in 1977. She then transferred to and retired from Mayport Elementary in June 2011.
Pamela was Methodist. She was a member of the Captains Club of Jacksonville, and she worked as a volunteer coordinator with the PGA Tour. She was devoted Gator fan.
She was predeceased by her parents; Richard Stade Whittington and Margret Joyce Whittington, and her brother Glenn Whittington, She is survived by her loving husband, Philip James (Jim) Rosenberger, Jr., her father-in-law Phil Rosenberger, Sr., step-mother Iris Whittington, a step-daughter, Margaret Lee Norcott (Guy) and grand-daughters Amelia and Noella, and a step-son Philip James Rosenberger, III (Uta) and grand-daughter Lina.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 27th, 1pm at Beach United Methodist, Jacksonville Beach followed by a reception held at The Captains Club on Beach Blvd at 2pm with graveside services following at 3:30pm at Arlington Cemetery.
