A Memorial Mass for Natalie Martinelli, who passed away November 17, 2018, will be held 2:00 PM TODAY, November 30th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A N. Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Born Natalie Manno on December 28, 1924, she became Natalie Martinelli on Christmas Day, 1950, when he married Victor Martinelli. Natalie and Victor have two children, Martin Martinelli and Kim Shiley, and four grandchildren, Phillip Martinelli, Gregg Martinelli, Megan Shiley, and Christopher Shiley. Natalie graduated from UPSALA College in East Orange NJ, having majored in Mathematics and minored in English. She pursued Graduate studies in Education and Psychology at Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ. Later, she studied Fortran Computer Programing at College of the Canyons, Valencia, California. The states of New Jersey, Ohio, and Florida certified Natalie to teach Mathematics and English in grades 7-12 which she did for over twenty-five years. She is in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and was the first woman elected a member of Kappa Mu Epsilor National Mathematics Fraternity. Natalie also served as president of the American Association of University Women, Santa Clarita Chapter, and of both the Ponte Vedra and Sawgrass Women's Clubs. She was an active member of the Sawgrass Singers and performed in many of their concerts. She was never idle, and in her spare time she took up ceramics and became quite proficient at it. She liked to embroider and was an amazing cook. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
