Marie Christine Hamilton 91, of Jacksonville Beach, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct 14, 2017 at Baptist Beaches Hospital. Marie was born on May 3, 1926 in Newark New Jersey to Frank and Christine Kirby. She was a longtime resident of Jacksonville Beach since coming with her husband Leon Hamilton in1950. She was very athletic, coaching the Beaches little league teams, playing softball, swimming, and a black belt in judo. She also was an avid LA dodgers fan. She loved the beach, gardening, her home and especially her children.
Marie is predeceased by her parents and son, Des F. Hamilton. She is survived by 5 children, Son Kirby (Lora), Daughter Marlee (Steve), Daughter Patty (Charlie), Daughter Sue (John) and Son Leon (Jackie), 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her 2 true friends Loretta and Lorraine who checked on her daily.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, a celebration of Marie’s life will be scheduled for a later date.
