

Margaret Barron, 94, passed away on July 9, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. Margaret was born in Columbia, South Carolina on December 2, 1918 to Dr. William R. Barron and Fannier R. Barron. After graduating high school, Margaret attended Presbyterian College in South Carolina. She went on to a long, successful career with the State of South Carolina and retired after twenty-five years of service. Margaret was a caring and devoted daughter who dedicated a large part of her life to making sure her parents were cared for in their final years.
Margaret was a woman of faith, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church her whole life. Margaret Barron had a passion for traveling and enjoyed many trips around the world with her family and friends. Margaret enjoyed morning peppermint lattes at Starbucks, needle point, shopping for shoes and spoiling many children with Gymboree.
Margaret is survived by her grandson, James Hubbart and Nicole Materna of Jacksonville, Florida, and her great-grandson and great-granddaughter, Alex and Ashley Hubbart of Jacksonville, Florida and Lulu, her favorite puppy dog. She is also survived by her god-daughter, Jennifer Hubbart of Jacksonville, Florida and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and dear friends. Margaret will be greatly missed by her dear friends Sylvia, Jackie, Maryanne and Sonia.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday (TODAY), July 12 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL. A celebration of her life will be held 11am Saturday, July 13, also at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville Beach, with Rev. Peyton Hopkins officiating. Margaret will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina.
