I will always remember your great smile, your kindness and compassion. It has been 9 years since you left us. My prayers are with your family. You will never be forgotten by the so many that you helped during your time on this earth.

We think of you often, you were our family doctor for 20+ years.  Not only me and George, but also my parents and a sister.  You cared for your patients as if we were your family. You never rushed either of us in and out from our appointments because you truly cared.  You and I were born in 1956 and we would joke about retiring, which one of us would retire first. You never made it to retirement and I am still working b/c I enjoy my job.  You left too soon John at a young age of 59.  

You have been gone 9 years. Seems like yesterday.  Your children are all adults now. I know you are watching over them from Heaven.  You are truly missed and loved by so many. You were the best doctor I have ever seen. RIP John.

Dr O was my primary physician for 25 years. The best doctor that I ever had. He became my wife’s doctor as well. I referred my in laws and many friends and acquaintances to him over the years. All thought he was a great physician. He was more than just my doctor. He was a friend. I didn’t realize how much he did for me until he was gone and I had to find a new doctor. I still miss his great smile.

My mother and I were just chatting and we happened to share a happy memory of Dr. O. He was my mother’s doctor from 1986 until 2015. She always says he is the reason she stopped smoking. He always chatted with her about us (her kids) and his own children. He even told her the story about how he backpacked through Europe when he was a student.  He was such a caring doctor and I am grateful for the care he gave my mother for 29 years.

  Dr o was my doctor for a long time. I I just came back into town and found out about his passing. He was the most wonderful doctor someone could ever want he actually cared about his patients and he listened to them.


Although you have left this Earth, you have not been forgotten. 💖

Wow, I just found out and cannot believe it. John saved my life after another Doctor had misdiagnosed me. I went to John and he new exactly what I was suffering from and what to do to heal me. He was by far the best doctor I have ever had.  I was thinking about him again, his family, his office workers and here it is the holidays. I had been a patient of Dr O's for years. I became his patient because I was a young single mother of two who worked in a local hospital and did not have the money for health insurance yet. He was there to see one of his patients and out of the kindness of his heart, treated me! I was with him for twenty years and feel like I was beyond blessed to have known him. Prayers to all of your family and friends.

Wow! Just heard. I've been a patient for 24 years. Even before Dr. Oz, Dr. Ondrejicka always discussed healthy eating & shared his own personal recipe for healthy living.  I've been eating sautéed veggies daily for years because of him.  I will truly miss his warm demeanor, and I am grateful to God for allowing Dr. O to make a difference in the lives he touched!

He was my one and only doctor since I moved to Jacksonville. I will miss him dearly.

WOW!!! I've been traveling and was just almost hospitalized when i called in and heard the office voicemail saying Dr O had passed. Now the I can see through my tears, I want to say how sorry I am for everybody's loss, he was simply the coolest doc ever. I hope all of you in the office and at home are able to cope and remember that smile and cool, relaxed demeanor of his to carry you through your coming days of continued heartache. My Doctor, my friend. A gentle man who will be so sorely missed. The world will be a much sadder place without him.

I was shocked to receive the automated  phone message today about Dr O's sudden death.  I will surely miss his caring heart!

I just heard about Dr. O and was shocked too like so many others. He took care of my mother for years and heard so many wonderful things about him. My twin and I recently switched GP Dr. to Dr. O .. and were so glad that we did and both spoke about how much we appreciated and respected his energy in caring for others! You will be missed...and thank you for all you have done for so many people over the years.

I just found out of Dr O's passing. I extent my families sympathy to all of his family and co-workers. We have been seeing Dr O for many, many years.   He was a wonderful caring man who took great care of my family.  He just recently took the time to see me and my son on his lunch hour to try and explain to me the situation of my husbands sudden passing. He did not have to do this but as always he cared enough to help us understand to the best of his abilities what went wrong.  His comforting ways and great since of humor will be greatly missed. I found out today when I went to my pharmacy that Dr. O passed.  I am still shocked.  Dr. O was my Dr. For over 25 yrs.  I feel I was so blessed to have known such a truly compassionate & caring Doctor who always had the time to listen.  He helped me through very hard times & I will never forget that he possibly saved my life.  Words can not express all I would like to say. I didn't know he had passed. I worked for John when I first moved to Jacksonville and he was such a great person. He was a dear friend of my husband and I and will be greatly missed. We think of him often.

Dr. O was a great doctor and such a good man. I always looked forward to my appointments bc I knew id get to chat with dr O. This news breaks my heart.  I saw him in late april and I can still picture it. My condolences to his family. Had I known sooner, I would have been to his memorial. He meant a lot to me.

We were shocked and saddened to find out about our favorite doctor passing away.  He was one of a kind....we had been seeing Dr. O for 20 years plus....he made us laugh and took wonderful care of us.  Always enjoyed hearing stories about his wife and kids. Oh my God my heart is so heavy right now. So much on my mind so much more that I wanted to share with the best doctor that I have ever had. Dr O was an all around class act and will be missed truly and deeply!  I've been around medicine my whole life due to family profession however,  I must say that I've never met another doctor line Dr. John Ondrejicka. Upon a visit to his practice you knew that he was not an rx pusher or there just for a paycheck. He treated the entire you not just your symptoms. No questions were ever too simple nor did he every mind going above and beyond to show that he sincerely cared.  I will never find another line him. My prayers go out to the Family and his work family - Carol, Eliza Brittany etc. I saw them all as family and that is how you were treated while under their care. Another star in the heavens!

I met John in 1989 when I was working at Memorial Hospital. We grew to be close friends and later became co-workers in research. Our lives went in different directions for a long time until just a couple of years ago.  I'm blessed and grateful to have reconnected with someone who meant so much to me before he found his way Home.  He will be deeply missed in my world...again. Until we meet again in the next world.

I learned of the death of Dr "O" on Tuesday of this week. John has been my mother's Dr since she moved down here 20 years. His practice always showed nothing but care and concern for my mothers health and he was always pleasent to deal with. John was a great Dr, friend and just a great overall person. My primary care physician since I moved to Atlantic Beach in 2009, he was very supportive, showed obvious concern, and was always willing to take the extra time to help.  My monthly appointments became more like friendly visits when we would talk about fishing, hunting, football, and politics.  I don't know how you replace a caring individual like Dr. John.
