Jeffrey D. Corwin, 54, passed away January 19, 2010. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a life-long resident of Jacksonville where he worked as the Supervisor of the Division of Technology for Duval County Public Schools. He was an avid player of disc golf and is a former consecutive state champion. Preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Elizabeth Mowry and brothers, Dr. James “Rip” Corwin III and Scott Calvin Corwin, survivors include his wife of nearly 24 years, Tricia Corwin; daughter, Shannon Corwin; father, Dr. James H. Corwin, II (wife, Jeanie); brother, Brad Corwin (wife, Susie); sister, Melissa Anne Weidner (husband, J.D.); nephews, Andrew & Michael Corwin; and niece, Madison Corwin. A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 25th, in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach.
