Mr. Jack Edward Curley, 94, of Jacksonville died Thursday, July 2. He was born in Lorain, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Peter Curley and Elizabeth (Grondin) Curley.
He was an 8th Naval Construction Battalion IWO Jima veteran, business graduate of Bowling Green University, and Texaco Oil Company retiree. He was active and supportive in the life of his family, church, and friends.
A loving husband for 57 years to his late bride, Kathleen Alice (MacIntosh) Curley, he is survived by his 5 children; Robert Michael Curley of Greensboro NC, Susan Cheryl Greer of Jacksonville FL, Kevin Douglas Curley of Jacksonville FL, Catherine Elizabeth Carver of Orlando FL, Constance Kaye Ritter of Jacksonville FL, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A service with military honors will be held in memory of Jack Curley at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 10th in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
